Hey Friends, My name is Christie Farley and I am a new voice here at Daily Jesus. I found my love for blogging about four years ago and am just now taking the leap of faith to really use social media in an insightful way. In everything, I believe we should always have a reason or goal so in a couple sentences or two I’ll lay it out.
My reason for blogging is to exercise my love for writing and specifically writing about my faith and what being a Christ follower looks like day in and day out. He’s my best friend and I just want to give away the hope He offers to as many people as are willing to listen, even just for moment. My goal is come at this from all sides. I like to laugh, a lot, but I also have serious thoughts. So, I hope to offer both. I even shed tears when something provokes my water works. I often refer to it as a leak in my hose. Once it starts, it drips down my face.
Today, I’m going to start with just a bit of humor. This video is the High School Pastor, Jeff Maguire, at my church, Mariners in Irvine, CA. I watched it just now for the first time in six months and cracked up all over again. I realize there is a bit of inside info here, but the fact that we as Christians can laugh at ourselves, share the message and be real along the way is what matters.
