Dog Days of Summer Tip

We have truly reached the dog days of summer in SW Missouri.  Did you know for every degree you raise your thermostat you can save an average of 3% on your utility bill?  My challenge to you today is to raise your thermostat by at least one degree.  My house is set at 78, how about you?

Wow, Ann! Seventy-eight degrees is just too hot for me! I sweat too much in my house when it gets that hot! Good for you, though, for saving so much on your utility bill!

  2. Ann…78 degrees! Wow! I'm in shock! Mine is set right now at 68 degrees. I consider it saving money by not setting it at 65 degrees like I want it to be! :)

  3. I know 78 is extreme for most people, but it was to offer a paradigm shift. My challenge was to move the thermostat by 1 degree. Surely you boys can manage that. My husband is a mini furnace and he's acclimated to the change which we did gradually. You can do it.
